How are you different from other brands in the market?
We are a US based company. All our products are tastefully curated and sourced directly from the artisans. We want to make Cashmere affordable, maintaining quality and sustainability.
Why did you choose the name Makers Weave?
Maker is a person that makes or produces something. Our weavers gave us the first product that we started with which are woven stoles hence the name. The name is also a nod to God (the maker) who has paved a path of a larger plan for us.

What is Cashmere?
Cashmere wool comes from the cashmere goat. These goats are found across the Himalayas where temperatures can drop to -30°C and their freezing cold habitat means that they grow an incredibly thick, warm coat. Cashmere is closely connected with the Kashmir shawl, the word "cashmere" deriving from an anglicization of Kashmir when the Kashmir shawl reached Europe in the 19th century from Colonial India.
What is Modal Silk?
Modal is a semi-synthetic and breathable material produced without most of the wasteful and harmful processes from the beech trees. A somewhat complex purification process converts the wood chips into the cellulose that becomes the fabric.
What is Soft and Warm?
Soft and warm collection is a blend of wool and silk fabric. The collection contains 92% of Merino and 8% Silk. They are lightweight enough for spring and summer, but with enough heft to keep you warm in the cooler days.
What is Kani?
Kani is one of the oldest and most beautiful form of art on Cashmere. The craft of Kani weaving uses small sticks of wood called ‘Kanis’. It is an intricate art of weaving vibrant floral and paisley motifs on a neutral and earthy base. It is truly a regal piece of art.
What is Jamawar weave?
The word Jama means ‘a robe or shawl’ and War means ‘Yard’ (the measuring unit. Jamavar weave is an intricate pattern completely woven into the fabric which gives a rich and distinctive look.
What is Cashmere with gold thread (Zari)?
These are unique patterns created in gold or silver metal thread giving a lustrous effect on color bases giving the stoles a rich sheen.
What is Maker’s Weave return policy?
We have a no refund policy; all sales are final. However, we are ready to hear back from you if you are not satisfied with our product. Please do not hesitate to chat with us using WhatsApp.

Damages and issues - Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we have received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
How long will it take my order to arrive?
It can take about 10 business days. You can always find your tracking info by visiting the Shipping Confirmation email that we send when your order ships. Friends in Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. Territories: you may see shipment windows of up to 4 weeks.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship to the U.S., Canada. If you live elsewhere, please contact us, and we will be happy to provide you with a custom shipping quote. International shipping costs and times vary based on destination and are shown at the time of checkout. Your shipping confirmation has a tracking link. If you cannot find it, or if you think there is a problem with your package, simply email us and we will chase it down.
Do you offer free shipping?
We are excited to be offering free shipping on orders over $25.
Can shipping be expedited?
Yes, expedited shipping delivery time is 1-2 business days for a $25 fee. Exact rates are shown at the time of checkout.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept PayPal.
How can I modify or cancel my order?
Most orders are shipped through the U.S postal service and get to you in 8-15 business days. You can always use our WhatsApp chat or email us at info@makersweave.com and we will do everything we can to help.
How to care for Cashmere?
We recommend dry cleaning.
How to take care of Modal fabric?
Modal is hand washable as well as machine washable in a cold wash. A cold wash will also help prevent any shrinking. If you must use a dryer, use a low to medium high temperature. Ironing is generally not a problem for modal. Do not bleach.
Do you provide gift wrapping?
We do not offer gift wrapping. However, all stoles and scarves, in a gorgeous gift bag.
What if I am buying multiple gifts going to different addresses?
We recommend that you place a separate order for each gift recipient address.
